Polish Theatre
The building of the theatre was constructed in accordance with the project of Stanisław Hebanowski in the period from 1873 to 1875. At the fronton of the building there is visible inscription „Nation for itself” confirming that the theatre was built from money collected from citizens of Poznań and the Great Poland. After numerous renovations and reconstructions the architectural details of the theatre foyer have been removed. The design of the auditorium with loggias refers to the initial interiors of the place. The main facade of the building is partly preserved. The external architectural details from the period of construction are no longer existing (missing flowerbed with a sculpture). The eastern, southern and western perspectives open with the view onto the architecturally diversified building developments. The northern perspective closed with building of the theatre and the administration building.
