The Building of Tram Depot Franowo is located within the city's district - Nowe Miasto, along the street Folwarczna and Piasnicka. Construction of the building ended in 2013. Nearby stand M1 Shopping Center, Kompania Piwowarska building and the building of Ikea. It is one of the most modern tram depot in the Europe and the largest depot in Poland. The Depot is a home for trams servicing the city of Poznan on daily basis as well as the historical wagons. Among them you can find a real pearl- the Carl Weyer type WD wagon , which was found in Poznan on one of the private property and proceeded thorough modernization and reconstruction. Wagons of this type were first electric trams in the capital of Wielkopolska in the late nineteenth and twentieth century.
