Shelter of the Mayor of Poznań
The underground atomic shelter constructed in the fifties and sixties of XX century. Above the shelter there is a villa dating back to the same period, was supposed to camouflage the existence of the underground shelter. Walls one-meter thick and the ceiling two-meter thick made of cats concrete. The interior divided into small rooms of various purposes – a telephone switchboard, rooms intended for city services, a map room, and an operating room. Until the year 2000 the existence of the shelter had been kept in secret, and its located had been confidential until 2010. The equipment has been fully retained. It consists of fittings dating back to the time of the construction of the shelter. There are maps, telephones, desks and the similar.
