Old Gas-Works

A complex of post-industrial buildings dating back to mid XIX century. A part of them have been renovated and used as office space until contemporary days, others have been destroyed. This area has hosted cultural events many times – concerts, festivals (including the “Transatlantic” Film Festival) as well as many others. Façades of buildings were constructed of red and clinker brinks. Perspectives open, architectonically clear. The main building at theGrobla Streetwas renovated with a staircase dating back to the beginning of XX century preserved. A riverside area is located in the vicinity.
