National Museum
It was established in the period 1900‑1903 as a part of the “Emperor’s District”. The project was inspired by the Berlin arsenal. Inside the building there is a monumental hall with a gallery constructed around it. On the eastern side of the elevation there are three sgraffitis presenting three kingdoms of the nature and on the southern one there are eight allegories of the art crafts. The contemporary building adjacent to the old building was constructed in 2001. Inside the new building there is a spacious modern hall and wide stairs leading to the exhibition rooms with impressive collection of Polish and worldwide painting.
