A fragment of the highway opened in 2003. A-2 simultaneously constitutes a ring road of Poznań at the section from the exit to Poznań the East to the exit Poznań the West. A modernly designed highway node located at south verge of the city. The highway enables a fast driveway into the city as well as its satellite localities constituting a part of the Poznań agglomeration. Additionally, it constitutes a transport node serving shopping centers located in the vicinity.
