Financial support

REGIONAL FILM FUND POZNAŃ is operated by Poznań Film Commission aiming to provide financial support to film and television productions associated with the city of Poznań through their theme, authors, and above all the place of production or participation of individuals and companies working in the city. Funding may be obtained by creators of films and TV series, documentaries, animated films at different stages of production, as well as of music videos.

To date, the film fund in Poznań has provided support for several dozen full-length features for cinema distribution (such as "Felix, Net and Nika and theoretically possible disaster" directed by Wiktor Skrzynecki) as well as a number of documentaries and animated films ("Tales from Lailonia Kingdom" - produced by the Poznań TV Studio of Animated Films, which won the coveted Polish Filmmakers Association award for Best Animated Film at the 29th "ALE KINO" International Young Audience Film Festival, or the document "Under the operating care" about the death of Piotr Majchrzak, directed by Anna Piasek-Bosacka. In turn, "Komeda, Komeda ...", a biographical documentary about the Poznań composer, was distributed in the USA and Canada together with the new DVD edition of Roman Polański’s "Rosemary’s Baby".

Regional Film Fund Poznań (in 2008-2011 known as the Wielkopolska Poland Film Fund) has been operating within the structures of "Estrada Poznańska" [the Poznań Stage] - a cultural institution reporting to the city of Poznań - since 2008.

The amount of funds for a given year, as well as the composition of the City Committee, is announced in a notice that opens the recruitment for a given year and published on the website of Poznań Film Commission.
Applications may be submitted throughout the year. The Committee meets at least once a quarter in a given year until the funds allocated for the year run out.
